Raven and Beast Boy’s First Date

Chapter Ten

Beast Boy staggers down the hall of Titan’s Tower to Robins room with one thing on his mind. He finally reaches the end of the hall where Robin’s room was. Before he knocked he sat down outside the room trying to catch his breath. As he sat there he started to run it over in his head what he want to say to Robin. Beast Boy tried getting up off the floor next to Robin’s door, but his weaken body couldn’t even hand that simple task. So, staying on the floor he pounded his fist against Robin’s door. Annoyed Robin storms over to his opening it, and yelling. “WHAT DO YOU WANT?!?!” Robin started to fell dumb when he saw no one was in front of him.

“Dude, down here.” Beast boy said poking Robin’s leg.

“Oh, Beast Boy what are you doing down there?” Robin asked looking confused.

“I’m doing Yoga lessons.” Beast Boy said smartelic with an attitude “What do you think I’m doing down her?”

“Oh, sorry need a hand?” Robin ask as he helped Beast Boy up

“Well, sort of.” Beast Boy said leaning his back against the wall.

“What do you need?” Robin asked

“Lets talk in privet.” Beast Boy said barely able to walk in the door way.

“Okay, let me help you out.” Robin said helping Beast Boy into his room

On the other side of Titan’s Tower in Raven’s room. Raven was busy trying to keep her powers under control with her amulet. As she hovered above her floor chanting Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos, repeating her chant a few more times she moved random objects around her room with her mind. When she was done she put them back where they were laying. I mid meditation a loud knock on Raven’s door broke her concentration. After falling to the floor Raven stormed over to her door to see Starfire with a big grin on her face.

“My friend of the gloominess I you bring joist news!” Starfire exclaimed happily

“You’re going to marry Robin?” Raven responded with a smart remark

“Although that thought is much of the niceness that is not the case.” Starfire replied

“Sarcasm just flies right over your head doesn’t it Star?” Raven Started off again in her usual manner

“Who is this Sarcasm and why did he fly over my head?” Starfire asked in confusion

“Never mind Star!” Raven sighed as she walked over to her dresser grabbing the amulet, and putting it around her neck. “What’s got you in a good mood all of a sudden?”

“Oh I cannot hold it in.” Starfire said twitching in midair, “THE BEAST BOY IS GOING TO AS YOU OUT!!!” She screamed.

“Yeah, that was about two months ago Star.” Raven replied clean out her ear that was just yelled in.

“Oh, he hasn’t asked you yet has he?” Starfire said disapointed

“Starfire what’s going on?” Raven asked before Starfire could answer a knock came on the door.

“Raven open up it me.” Beast Boy voice came form the other side of the door. Raven opened the door. She saw Beast Boy leaning on a cane for support. With a big goofy smile he asked Raven “Will you go out with me?” Without a second thought she said yes they agreed to leave at seven O’clock that night. The time came around Cyborg drove them to a nice little restaurant for heros and herons. As they walked inside the greater was very rude to them.

“What do you mean I can’t get in?!” Beast Boy yelled clenching his chest.

“Raven, may pass, but may not.” The greater said sounding smug.

“Why can’t he?” Raven asked angrily

“Because he is not a hero any more.”  He said so smug. “Look at him he’s barely able to stand on his own.”

“Why I ought to...” Beast Boy put his hand in front of Raven’s face to stop her.

“It’s ok Rae, we’ll just go somewhere else.” Beast Boy turned to walk out of the restaurant.

Outside the restaurant Raven asked him, “Why did you stop me?”

“Because, he’s right.” Beast Boy said with a smile, “Now, no arguments lets find something to do.”

“Beast Boy...” She just watched him try to make the best of the night.

“Ah ha, I got it.” Beast Boy said sounding excised, “There’s this place outside of town they serve the best Apple Pies in the world there.”

“And you know this place how?” Raven asked.

“Oh, Terra, brought me there...” Beast Boy stopped talking when Raven face stared to look angry.

“Beast Boy, I don’t want you to ever say that name again got that.” Raven said looking more angry then before.

“Ok, I want.” Beast Boy said with sweet coming down his face.

Upon entering the diner on the outskirts of town Raven felt overdressed for a small time diner like this. Seeing that Raven was out of place being overdressed he took her by the hand, and found a nice table to sit at.

“Can I help you?” Ask the waitress awaiting their order

Beast Boy smile, and said, “Two apple pies please.”

“Beast Boy…?” Raven started to ask him a question.

“Yeah, what is it?” He asked in concern.

“Would you have ever liked me if Terra was still alive?” She asked looking at the floor.

“Raven, I’ve always liked you, but always kept me at bay.” He said holding her cheek in his hand, “Look Raven I don’t know I do live Terra, but she’s gone now, and now I have you, and I truly do love you.”

“Love you to Beast Boy.” She said kissing him across the table.

The waitress returned to the table and places the plates of pie in front of two of them, she than smile and walked off. With and awkward silence they stared at the slices of pie as Raven reached for her fork and dug into the pie taking a bite and then she smiled. "Your right Beast Boy this is good pie" Raven commented as she took another bite. Beast Boy smiled and started eating his slice of pie. With each bite the taste made tears fall from his eyes "This is good pie Rae." He said as the two of them ate their slices of pies.  From across the diner in a dark booth in the corner a green eyed figure watched them with jealousy and malcontent the figure's eyes turned yellow and angered as it tore down the wall next to the booth it was sitting. It than walked out of the hole closing it behind its self. As the evening continued on they took a stroll under the moonlit night in the park. Hours had past by like minutes  as they set at the edge of the park looking into each others eyes as they held eachother lovinly.  Time begain to become a factor again knowing it was late the two headed home with hope that that the  evenining wouldn’t ever end.
